I’ve always had a love for music ever since the day I was born, when I was about five years old I took on the drums and for a while that was my main instrument. But being in a house surrounded by guitarists I eventually took a liking to guitar. With my dad being in a Christian rock band, I also had some pretty cool experiences going to shows. Especially the save a life tours that my dad has hosted up and down the East Coast. I even got a chance to play in those shows as a side act to my dad‘s band.  When I first picked up the guitar my main influences were Metallica Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Today you can hear that my biggest influences now thrive from various different genres of music. Including classic rock to even death metal. in eighth grade I wanted to start a band of my own. The reason I formed The Grimjacks, is because I want people to hear what I love to do, and I believe that this band will play big time venues.  I feel that my band has a very unique sound that can be compared to The Beatles and nirvana.  As much as I would like to say guitar and drums are my main instruments I feel that it is a lie. On my bands EP you can also hear me sing and play bass. One thing I feel that I can boast about is being able to pick up an instrument that is completely new to me.

I was always surrounded by music when I was younger. My Dad had played bass for the worship team at church and when I was around 5 I picked up guitar. While my interest for guitar had been on and off, I got a drum kit from my uncle around 4 years ago. Some bands that have inspired me are: Nirvana, The Doors, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice in Chains, Mad Season, Foo Fighters, and many more. I saw the band at my school and I liked the surfey part of their songs and I wanted to see what I could fuse with it. I think the Grimjacks have the roots of 60s surf rock while incorporating the loud parts in grunge rock of the 90s.

I’ve been playing music for all of my life. I play Guitar, bass and drums. I’ve always had a keen ear for Music. The musicians who inspired me to pick up an instrument and play Are; John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, John Frusciante from rhcp, Yngwie Malmsteen, James Hetfield from Metallica, and most importantly my father. I’ve played up and down the east coast touring with my father. I play in my churches worship team.  What started this band was my love of 90s grunge like Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana. So I decided to mix that with my love of surf rock like Dick Dale and The Beach Boys. And what I got I really liked it so I ran with it.
